Steve Archer
Independent Financial Adviser in Chipping Sodbury and Bristol
Steve Archer began his career in finance more than 20 years ago as a currency trader, working for several investment banks. This experience gave him a detailed, practical understanding of financial markets and the way investment conditions can change over time.
The knowledge and perspective he developed during those years have helped shape the personal investment philosophy he now applies when advising clients. Rather than focusing on short-term market movements, Steve takes the time to understand each client’s wider circumstances, attitude to risk, investment preferences and long-term objectives.
Steve particularly enjoys the complex problem-solving involved in creating an individual financial plan.
He believes good advice starts with a genuine understanding of what a client wants to achieve, both now and in the future.
This means looking beyond investments in isolation and considering how different areas of a client’s finances work together. Steve’s planning may include pensions, retirement income sustainability, tax strategies, Inheritance Tax planning and trusts, alongside wider investment and estate-planning considerations.
Whether a client is building wealth, approaching retirement, drawing an income from their pensions or considering how best to pass assets to future generations, Steve aims to make complex decisions easier to understand. His approach is thoughtful, detailed and personal, with recommendations built around each client’s needs and aspirations.
“Every client’s circumstances are different. My role is to understand what matters to them, solve the financial challenges in front of them and build a plan that can adapt as their life changes.”
Based in Chipping Sodbury, Steve works with clients across the Bristol area and beyond.
Outside work, he can often be found on the golf course, growing fruit and vegetables in the garden or keeping up with his two young children.
