Samuel Mather-Holgate is a Director and Independent Financial Adviser at Mather & Murray Financial, based primarily at the firm’s Cricklade office.
He works with clients across a wide range of financial planning needs and has particular experience in complex cases where several areas of a client’s finances need to be considered together. This may include pensions, investments, retirement planning, estate planning, Inheritance Tax considerations and wider tax-efficient financial planning.
Samuel enjoys helping clients make sense of complicated financial decisions and building plans around their circumstances, priorities and longer-term goals. His approach is personal and practical, with a focus on making sure clients understand their options and feel confident about the decisions they are making.
He is qualified to advise on defined benefit pension transfers, equity release and complex mortgages.
This broad technical knowledge allows him to support clients whose circumstances may require more detailed planning or specialist consideration.
Samuel is also a member of the Society of Will Writers and has experience in estate planning. He helps clients consider how their financial arrangements, wills and wider estate-planning objectives can work together, particularly where protecting wealth and planning for future generations are important priorities.
As a Director, Samuel also plays an active role in the continued development of Mather & Murray Financial. He is committed to providing accessible, independent financial advice and ensuring clients receive clear, joined-up support throughout different stages of their lives.

Samuel works mainly from the Cricklade office and supports clients with both ongoing financial planning and more complex, one-off advice needs.
Outside work, Samuel enjoys playing golf and tennis, keeping fit and travelling. He is also an Arsenal supporter and enjoys going to watch the team play. When time allows, he continues to work on his Spanish.
